i remember you showed me this song in 08 or 09 in david’s car and i immediately downloaded it(i would download everything you would put on because you had the best music taste) i would just listen because of some ongoing stupid emotional love battle that i was going thru at the time and i could relate but some of these lyrics now actually mean something to me.

i love you alex. i can’t believe this. i’ve been in shock since i saw your facebookstatus from your dad this morning. i called steph, tacia, nat, james and all our old friends, thinking it wasn’t real. i STILL can not believe this. this is all i can say right now.. i haven’t been saying much at all today. but we’re going to celebrate your life this summer. play instruments, listen to geographer, brand new, mcr, radiohead, future islands, frightened rabbit, we were promised jetpacks, ect. sing, lay in the sun and just be care-free. i know you are probably playing/ listening music and eating 29 diner, showing people your music and lookin down on me and everyone. wherever you are, you are finally at rest. but know that every sec of the day, you will be missed. rest in peace my creative, inspiring, unique, funny, talented, awesome friend. you will NEVER be forgotten.
